This centre piece is 30" x 30". The centre piece is surrounded by dark green material which makes the full size 60 inches.
Lots of fabrics, lots of embroidery, melted hand sewed into it, and decorated with image transfers of my own autumn photos, applied embossing metal and numerous beads.
Her hair cascades across the surface of the quilt as if Autumn wind is blowing
through it.
Art quilts are meant for decoration rather than being used as a proper bed quilt, they can't be washed but they can be spot cleaned or alternatively you could ask for advice from a reputable dry cleaner. They can be placed on a bed as decoration or hung. In a recent exhibition I used stainless steel bull dog clips to suspend these quilts from the ceiling to create a stunning wall piece.
