This piece is approximately 45 inches x 12 (114cm x30.5).
This is a wall hanging that evolved over a number of months.
I used a large range of materials: muslin, organza, special papers, tweed etc. The fabrics have been layered and embroidered into. The woman herself is drawn with machine embroidery and has then been beaded into with a range of specially selected items.
I eventually plan to produce a lot more pieces like this of different figures and characters.
Wildwoman is attached at the top to a long canvas that's completely hidden behind the textiles.
